SInce I haven't been flying enough lately (ha!), I decided to sub in on Monday night - I'm so close on that mod, that it's making me wish I could just live at Streb until I master it (and then keep living there, because there are so many other things I'd like to try!)
So again, mod after mod after mod. Interesting new development - I finally noticed when my hands release the bar - I held on until I was at peak, as a concious decision.
The Things were with me, which probably wasn't all that fair to them, though I tried keeping them entertained with some acro yoga, and some stuff on the low bar. There was the inevitable fighting, of course, but actually, not too bad considering that both trusses were in use and they couldn't swing across them!
I also threw them as catches (not!) to Manny, and same as yesterday, couldn't release. First time, wouldn't go until third time out. Second time, second time out, and I slapped hands with Manny - I think that if my hands were tighter we might have even caught it triple time! But what's the point of that? The mod isn't a triple time trick... anyway third time out, I modded, first time out, but wouldn't release the bar. Yeah, those damned baby steps!
But I won't complain about those baby steps - I feel more secure in the mod, in or out. The uprise is much more solid than it's ever been, and even though I don't know how I've managed to become so much less A-type about this whole thing, I do think it w ill come together when it's ready.
Also impressive were the high schoolers throwing f/e uprises, and doubles, and flying ridiculously high! It's all good, though, and lovely watching them.
No vids today. Between the Things and the flying, didn't have a chance to take out the camera. But I'll be flying again tomorrow!
