On Tuesday, I thought it might be nice to take a step back from the twisted whip, which I haven't made much progress on, and just focus on the twisting part, since that's where I need work.
Since it is a skills class, however, I needed to multi-task, so after the usual warm-ups, a kill/build, and a few unsuccessful cut/catches (still not straddling -- what's up with that?!?) I decided to try a re-grip turnaround into a 360.
Here's one of my attempts:
Not great yet, but something to work on that isn't totally out of range. I'm still releasing early.
The Things came with me to class, and were actually well-behaved (for them!), especially considering that we had to run around town to get Thing 2's passport before they leave for Israel. Still, it's hard concentrating when they are there. Part of my attention/energy is always on them instead of on whatever I'm doing in the air...
