Hazy, Hot and Humid Tuesday

You would think that I'd learn... on an insanely hot day, it's not the best idea to bike down to Streb before back to back flying and static.

I got a bunch of warm up swings in before class, including a kill/build. Worked a bit on an attempted salute, then the cut/catch, and a few reverse suicides. Not in top form. My brain seemed to have been shut off, and I can't stay tight. I think there's a reason that no one does Bikram Trapeze, although it definitely felt like that's what we were doing on Tuesday night.

It was kind of lonely without Marisa there, I miss our bickering. Elena surprised me with these:

Aren't they great? Thank you, Elena. Thing 1 did not appreciate them. She doesn't like her new nickname. (Are Tweedledee and Tweedledum better? I think not, but will suggest them to her... if I can figure out how to do a poll, maybe I'll put a poll up on the blog) Thing 2 liked them. I think they are fab.

Since I'm not quite getting my twist, I decided to go work with Christina on trampoline, even though I've been hesitant to bounce too much because of my knees. Well, her technique suggesttions were great! I managed a 540 on the tramp, and then Christina had me doing back tucks. If I had known that those are the things we'd be working on, I'd have sucked up the knee issues. I'm definitely going to go back to
the tramp next week, as long as it's okay with my classmates!

I'm curious to see how well they translate to flying...

Static was pathetic, and nothing to bother writing about. I somehow slogged on anyway.

My hope is that pushing myself to these extremes will result in dramatic results.

(Sorry there is no video, but really, nothing worth showing, and I keep forgetting my camera.)
