Winter's tricks

Having a lot of early morning time to just chill out is allowing me to finally catch up on some blog house keeping. I've been pretty lazy lately about posting updates, but figured that it's time to do the whole what-I've-been-working-on thing.

At the beginning of December I hit the gym again, and started lifting with a trainer twice a week.  We've been doing something called "slow burn" - 1 set of each exercise, very heavy weights, with controlled movements throughout the reps.  The gym I go to is called Serious Strength and it's been going pretty well, I think.  We had to do some adjusting of days so that I wouldn't be exhausted when flying, but overall I think that I'm flying higher and tighter because of the weight training, and make corrections a little bit more easily.

So, the tricks.   Lots of playing with 540's a/k/a sk8rgrl, twisting whips (single and double), occasional flirting with the layout, and pulling the mod out every once in a while so that it doesn't get too rusty.

So here's a 540 that I threw to Tad (and missed)

And here's a double twisting whip to the mat.

I just love twisting!
